The Influence of Fashion®, in partnership with Blk Room Project and A Walk for Change, present: Connected Soles.
This live fashion draping and shoe design exhibit served as the closing ceremony for the first “Walk for Change,” a collaborative walk fundraise aimed at bringing together agency partners dedicated to HIV care, support, and awareness.
The event serves as a platform for various organizations, healthcare providers, advocates, and community members to join forces in the fight against HIV while promoting solidarity and raising funds for essential services and programs.
The Talk Test Treat Initiative under the Department of Health in Orange County, Florida, and The LGBT+ Center Orlando, are partners in a bold plan to end the HIV Epidemic by 2030 with the goal by reducing the rates of HIV by expanding access within the community.
Proceeds from Connected Soles benefit 10 participating healthcare agencies that service Central Florida’s HIV/AIDS community:

The Influence of Fashion®, in partnership with Blk Room Project and the Risky Project, present: World AIDS Day 2024 Gowns.
Two local fashion designers created red World AIDS Day gowns modeled during a dinner for Blk Room Project’s Risky Dinner Conversation.
Risky Dinner Conversation is a private dinner conversation that sheds light on the sexual risky behaviors that attribute to the disproportionate HIV cases among African American women. The conversation includes local social influencers and special guests addressing the stigma around sexual health and HIV by normalizing the conversation of knowing your HIV status and HIV prevention.
The World AIDS Day 2024 gowns will be featured during Her Art Works. Click below to see these amazing works of fashion art for free.
Shoes of Innovation
My work emerges from a deep-seated belief in art’s transformative power—its ability to act as therapy, guiding us through life’s darkest depths and helping us return with a greater understanding of ourselves and our origins.
My art explores the Lu'everse, a dimension born from the struggles of the human mind. Emo'me, the protagonist, embodies self-discovery and acceptance. Through vibrant colors and symbolism, I normalize mental health conversations, encourage vulnerability, and promote resilience. My artwork invites viewers to confront their struggles, foster empathy, and celebrate the beauty of imperfection.
This shoe reflects the SixSet vision of limitless possibilities, a journey that sometimes calls for stepping into the unknown. With no prior experience in designing shoes, this challenge became an opportunity to view each step as part of a broader vision, guided by faith. Jeremiah 29:11.
These custom AF1s, crafted for HIV/AIDS awareness, tell a story of strength, connection, and community. The distressed denim symbolizes the impact of the disease, reflecting its ability to fray live; denim hearts are stitched together to signify unity and support reminding us that no one fights alone. Denim, "America's fabric," further symbolizes our shared responsibility to care for and uplift one another. Through every step, these soles carry a message of resilience and connection.

About the work:
I am interested in the many different forms of art. For me, art is about taking ideas and building on them, capturing special moments, and sharing them with others. I love exploring the different ways we can express ourselves and hope to create pieces that encourage people to stop, think, and connect with what they see.
HIV/AIDS inspired Fashion Draping Installation
I aim to create art that provokes thought and pushes viewers challenge the status quo and “turn to wonder” about alternative viewpoints.
